In order to provide the safest possible venue for acquisition of pharmaceutical products in Cyprus, there is a legal framework in place that governs the dissemination of drugs and other medical supplies in line with the rules and regulations of the European Union.
Pharmacies cover the needs of the people living on the island on a twenty-four-hour basis (there is a regulated rotation schedule so that selected pharmacies stay open at night to cover needs as they arise). Moreover, the pricing of pharmaceutical substances is governed by law in order to avoid overcharging.
There has never been an incident in Cyprus regarding abuse of a pharmacy license. All pharmacists must be officially approved and registered with the Cyprus Pharmaceutical Association.
