The 69th Anniversary of the People’s Republic of China was celebrated on 28th September with great success. The event was attended by more than 400 people. Among the guests attending, were representatives of foreign diplomatic missions as well as people from the political and business sectors of Cyprus, Presidents of the various Cyprus China Associations as well as the President of the Cyprus – India Cultural Association Mr. Chris Michael. During the event, the organisers presented a painting, Traditional Chinese dancing, and also top Chinese chefs prepared and served to the guests the famous Beijing Duck. In the address of His Excellency the Ambassador of China Mr. Huang Xingyuan, he described the close ties of Cyprus-China in all areas such as cultural, commercial and the economic sectors. The Minister of Health, Mr. Constantinos Ioannou thanked the Ambassador of China for the constant and continued support and great friendship between the two countries.
