On the occasion of the three years of the founding of the Cyprus – India Cultural Association and in collaboration with the High Commissioner of India, an event took place at the Semeli Hotel on 16th March. The event was a great success, with the participation of people from the politico-economic domain, as well as Foreign Diplomats. Ambassadors, including His Excellency Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China Mr. Huang Xingyuan. The guests were able to enjoy Indian and International cuisine and were also given the opportunity to enjoy Indian folk dances and songs.
The event was held under the auspices of the President of the House of Representatives, Mr. Demetris Syllouris. In a short greeting, Mr. Syllouris mentioned the excellent long standing relations between Cyprus and India.
Also, in his greeting the Indian High Commissioner Dr. Raghavan thanked the President of the Association Mr. Chris Michael for his initiative and cooperation, which contributes to the further strengthening of relations between the two countries.
All the event has been covered by Chinese media CCN RADIO TV and ANT1 TV station who both filmed the occasion and the supporters of the event, Aristo Developers, City of Dreams Mediterranean and the Winery Burgozone were also present.
