Chinese New Year is the most important festive celebration of Chinese culture. It is celebrated all over the world by Chinese families and communities.
20th Jan 2019 , The Chinese Ambassador to Cyprus Mr. Xingyuan Huang, thousands of Chinese families and locals from various cities in Cyprus came Nicosia for the most festive and memorable Chinese New Year Celebration to Welcome the Year of the Pig 2019.
Our goal of organizing this event is to increase the awareness of Chinese culture and developments in the greater Cyprus as well as to provide an opportunity for the Community to enjoy the happiness of Chinese New Year.
Celebration of the “Happy Chinese New Year Cyprus 2019″bazaar brings traditional Chinese Spring festivities and rituals to the community of Cyprus with:
- Multicultural live performances on stage like: Cyprus Overseas Chinese dance group performance, Children’s Choir, Special Chinese New Year food show, New Year fireworks show
- 30 Sales booths showcasing: featuring Chinese cultural products, Chinese New Year festive items, souvenirs, culinary delights and gift wares, fashion accessories for traditional Chinese clothing, festive decorations, ethnic package confectionery and snacks, the intangible colorful heritage of arts, calligraphy, Chinese painting and crafts, service-oriented businesses and many more.
